Yes, definitely. I normally wear a 7 1/2 and I tried on an 8 at another store and they were way too big. A size 7 fit me perfectly.

the regular 1460s are really hard and brand new, while the broken in ones are brand new but have been folded and hammered at the factory. if you look on the doc martens channel on youtube, they have a video showing how they break in the broken-in boots.

For the broken-in version, the boots are roughed up a bit, making them look older. (hence the 'broken-in' part.)

I have the original cherry from about 15 years ago and it is more of a brown red. These boots are made in Thailand now so the color may be a bit more off.

Probably. These shoes are tough to break in, so I would recommend rounding your size up instead of down.

The vegan ones are warmer due to the material and if you wish to use them as winter boots id say layer up the socks.

I live in Ontario, Canada and I've been wearing these shoes everyday this winter, and our winters are harsh and cold. They are warm without socks, and on colder days with thick socks I'm just fine. They've stood up to the snowy, cold winter weather very well.

Question

How much do these boots give?

I understand that there are debates whether to size down or not, but how much do these boots stretch? Will they change an entire size, a half size, or not enough to make a difference?

the width of them will stretch out over time, however the length will always stay the same. So I suggest trying a pair on in any store that sells them and get the US size, and buy that. I am a size 8 usualy in normal shoes, and my docs are a size US 7. they are the perfect length for me, however are very narrow which doesnt bother me as the leather will stretch slightly over time and become softer with wear.

answer 3
I've had these docs for a month now and I am usually between a 7.5 to a 8. I bought the 8 and was fine with it being a roomy so I could wear thick socks with it. I don't think they stretched, but they definitely felt more comfortable when I broke the docs in. So no, they don't stretch to a whole new size if thats what you were wandering.
