The belt is very adjustible. There are about four snaps to make it bigger or smaller. I am a size 2 and got the S. The small would definitely fit a size 4, and maybe a 6, because it is worn at the waist which is a lot smaller than the hips. The medium would probably fit a 6 or 8 but it really depends on how big your waist is. Hope that helped!
