Can the bottles be removed from the wooden frame for cleaning?

no they cannot unfortunately. it lifts up until the width of the bottle is too big to get through the hole of the wood. so to play it safe, i advise just playing with fake flowers :]

Yes, you must remove the top wood plank and can be easily put back.

Since the vases are made of glass, they can be used for almost anything. We like using colored rocks, sand, colored liquid (like science class!), scented oils, potpouri... The possibilities are endless!
