The curtain is a light cotton, almost linen-like. It's not waterproof but with a shower liner you should be fine. I haven't had any trouble. If you're worried about mold, you can likely wash it (though I haven't tried this yet) or dry clean at the very least.

Hooks are not included. When you go to buy hooks they come standard w/the same number in every package. All shower curtains you ever will buy will take the same number of hooks b/c all shower curtains have the same number of holes. Get it?

It would be so cute as a window panel. You would just have to come up with a way to hang them. There is no plastic backing, so your good on that.

It would have to be hung using shower curtain hooks which wouldn't be too bad as long as they were cute & matched the room decorations. I'm all about improvising & trying new thigns so why not. If you do try as a curtain just make sure to measure appropriately - mine fell at an odd length & looked funny (I tried to use it on a window as an afterthough).

Well there isn't a plastice coating on the other side. Its meant to be used with a liner so you are in luck there. I think it would look fine in a window as a panel. So you would want two for one window, unless its a large window. Then you'd want more. I would try it out. Great idea.

You could but the shower curtain is huge and would need to be cut to fit into a window. No protective layer on back for water.

I had white shag rugs that it looked fine with it was a little more ivory but you really could tell once you got it in the bathroom everything just looked white!

I like to contrast the feminine ruffles & sweet colors with neutral/harder textures. For instance I have the light blue curtain & I have paired with it twigs/browns/and even some patterns. I like the mix of neutral colored patterns up next to the ruffles. Subtle hints of color carry the blue throughout the bathroom but in all the curtain is the girliest piece. You could also go a bit more mainstream with clean classic white solid colored accessories.

My bathroom is all light brown and white, so I wanted the curtain to add some pop. I also wanted the curtain to be the focal piece - it's loud so this works really well. It's a difficult color aqua/green to match so I coordinated with other creme-colored and bamboo items.

no, i think the dying would ruin it. the fabric is very thin and i dont think it would hold up to the amount of washing necessary to rinse out the dyes.

If its 100% cotton you should be fine. Just make sure you do it in a bath large enough to let this large curtain spread out or your dye will be uneven. I wouldn't dye this in the washing machine.

You can dye it easily. I had to dye my waterfall curtains and they came out perfectly. They are even better than when I bought them!

I think it's supposed to be, I wouldn't dare to wash mine, because there are so many ripped seams that would just fray more with washing. I honestly think it's just not made very well. More what you would expect from a $20 product than a $70 one.

it's a very dull yellow-green. it's not bright and pastel-looking at all like it shows on the website. very dull. still a very beautiful shower curtain!
