I don't know the exact weight but I would say not heavier than 10 lbs. I can lift 5 lb weights for both arms and if felt much lighter.

Question

Can I use this as a plant stand OUTSIDE?

I want to put this on my front porch for herbs. Will it just fall over and/or rust?

I don't think it would support a heavy potted plant and I'm thinking it would rust. you could spray a clear coat of varnish on it to prevent the rust maybe and just watch it carefully, but it doesn't seem sturdy enough for anything really heavy. The top does not sit on top of the frame with the frame to support the weight of the table; it's only welded on each side of the corner from the inside. It's more like an armchair side table meant for a book and a cup of coffee kind of table.

answer 2
I think this would look great with plants on it. However, if you are planning on putting this piece outside, I would recommend that you secure it to the ground because a strong wind would probably blow it away. It is not heavy at all. Actually, it is very light. Another way it would work outside is if you use very heavy plant pots in the bottom basket to keep it from blowing in the wind. I don't think it would rust, but if it does get some rust on it, I personally think it would add character to the vintage look of this item. Cheers!

answer 3
I think this would be super cute for a plant stand but just to help it last a long time i would buy some protectat spray so the metal doesn't rust. It's pretty sturdy but it is light, but once you put plants on it think the heavy soil would hold it down. Hope I helped.

answer 4
I would highly recommend it for a plant stand. I would buy a top clear coat for rain resistant and the bottom part would be awesome for small potted plants or herbs and the top for fish tank or pots. Keep in mind it is iron so it might rust if daily exposure to snow and rain.

Question

How much weight does this support?

I was hoping to get this table to put my record player on top, and records in the basket, but after reading some reviews I'm worried that the table is too flimsy?

mine was pretty steady. I pressed down on it and it didn't rock at all. I think the real question is your record player would fit on top of it. Even of you have one of those folding Crosley record players, like I do, it's not going to fit. It can hold the weight, if you're okay with the record player not being able to lie flat, if that makes sense

answer 3
I wouldn't put anything too valuable on top, it is sturdy, but not the sturdiest piece of furniture. If you were to put your record player on top, I would lean it against the wall for extra support.

answer 2
I don't have a measuring tape, but I can tell you that I put it in my bathroom, and the bottom basket part fits a tower of toilet paper, and a stack of magazines propped up vertically. The top part is about the size of two Vogue magazines laid down next to each other (just a tiny bit smaller). Hope that helps!

If you go to the web site of the NYC subway (mta.info) and look at the shade of green used for the 4-5-6 train line, that is the exact green. It's a cool, dark, basic GREEN.
