I'm a 6.5. Should I get the 6 or 7?

I'm normally a 6.5 in shoes but these aren't available in that size. Should I size up or down?

Size down since these shoes run a bit big. I'm normally a size 7.5 but I read other reviews and sized down to a 7 and they fit perfectly!

depends how wide your feet are. If wide, get a 7. If narrow, get a 6.

Size down or you'll have major toe cleavage. I'm a universal 8. Rarely do I find a pair of 8s that don't fit me, so I got that in these and they fit, but there's some definite room in there.

Hey! I am usually a size six & when I put them on they fit perfectly soooo if you had to choose one size I would say maybe go for the bigger size because you can always try tying the ribbon tight. And maybe your foot will grow :b
Hope this helped! This is a great item & totally worth the money I think *-*

I own two pairs of these shoes - the tan and the black. I would say size down. I'm normally a 7 and I ordered them in my size - they fit well on me, but they show a little more toe cleavage than I would like, and they would have been a little large for me if they didn't have the ties to keep from flapping off my feet when I walk.

No matter what size calves, it doesn't even matter. Laces only wrap around the ankles twice, any higher and they fall down, not to mention they can't reach!

Question

Do these shoes look good worn with skinny jeans or jeggings?

Hey so was wondering if i bought these, would i be able to wear them with a pair of skinny jeans or jeggings? Would the ankle ties not show at all or as much, if i did this? i guess it would depend on the length of my jeans, whether they are ankle length or full length. Anyone else able to pair these with jeans and still get the ballet look? I want to get the tan ones and pair them with dark blue or black jeans. what do you guys think? thanks!

No, the ties wouldn't really show if your skinny jeans/leggings were full length. You could, however, simply roll up the bottoms to expose your calves.

When I got my pair in tan, the ankle ties weren't very long and the shoes just didn't fit well and were kind of cheaply made. If you're going for the ballet look, I recommend these, which I bought when I returned the Kimchi Blue pair:

http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/urban/catalog/productdetail.jsp?isProduct=true&color=004&navAction=jump&parentid=W_SHOES_FLATS&id=23787492

I wore them with skinny jeans the other day and they looked great. :)

Yes, they work. My friend and I were at the store today trying them on, and she has a wider foot, but they look great on either wide or narrow, and we both bought them! Also, I typically wear a 6 in flats at Urban, and the shoe-holder-thing said they were 6, and they fit perfectly, but after I bought them, I saw that they were ACTUALLY a 7. I'm a 6.5 normally, and I've read other people say that they run small, so size .5 up if you're a half size, or maybe a full size if you're not.

They run pretty true to size. I usually wear a 6 - 6.5, and a 6 fit very well. My feet are of average width, and these shoes leave me a bit of room on the sides., so I would think they'd work for wider feet, too. Hope this helped! (:

My feet are narrow mid-foot and widen out at the toe, and they fit perfectly. Unless your feet are super wide, my guess is they would fit. They're not leather, so they should stretch out a little too.

They're very true to size. I'm a 10 (sometimes 9.5, especially in canvas shoes) and they fit perfect!

Tights look great! Bare legs look great! With tan though, I'd probably say no to the tights, I have the black so they are a little more versatile, but I think it would be too stark of a contrast with the tan. Stick to jewel tones if you do wear tights like burgundy, jade, or even just black!!!

The tan color is more golden than beige in person, so you may want to take that into consideration. The more golden shade looks weird on me (I ordered them online), so I have to wear tights with them. They look great with tights, plus the tights will hide any toe cleavage (if you don't like it, that is). Also, the ribbon and the shoe are slightly different shades from each other. The ribbon is quite literally golden.

I'd go with the black. I purchased the black and they seriously go with everything. I'm not a fan of tan shoes to begin with, especially if your skin tone is lighter than the shoe, it can make you look pastey. Go for the black and pair with some black cropped pants, very Audrey Hepburn.

So, I also had this difficulty. But I came to the decision that black is more versatile and I'm glad I chose it. It all depends on what you wear! I really like tan shoes, but I think in this case black is classier. I might end up buying both, and maybe you should too! Start with black, and if you like them, go for tan!

No they would still fit snug... but there is a part of the shoe in the back that sticks up on the heel that the ribbon slides through. I think if you cut that off then the shoe would be ruined. And if you left it on then people would wonder what was on your shoe.

Question

how do you wear them??

I just got them and am confused about how the ribbon is supposed to tie around. they come crossed so should your foot go under the ribbon so it is crossed on top of your foot? or should i put the ribbon behind my foot and start tying them from up there? I wish the ribbon was longer! that would make this a lot easier

your foot shouldn't be on the ribbon, they ribbon goes above your foot, once your have the cross on the top of your foot you then wrap the ribbon around until you tie it. i can wrap mine around twice, but if you have bigger ankles then you might only be able to wrap them once.

For me the ribbon has to be crossed on top of your foot, meaning your foot goes below the ribbon. I like to keep the straps crossed and make them go around my ankle so that I can make a bow in the front of my ankle or vise versa. Maybe you should try looking up ways to tie ballerina shoes straps, I'm sure someone has a video tutorial on it.

I actually really like having the ribbon under. I feel like if it's over your foot, after wrapping (criss cross once or twice, then tie in a knot on the sides or back!) my foot feels a little uncomfortably stiff (and I have narrow feet!) but I'd say ribbon under. It gives you more space. In this picture I compared the two ways of wearing! Hope it helps!

Yes you can wear them crossed over your foot. That's how I have been wearing them and how I think they intended you to wear them

Yeah put your foot under the ribbon. I was able to wrap it around 2 times and then double knot it in the back. See my pics, they may help :)

pull the ribbon so it creates a hole... slide your foot into the hole and then wrap the ribbon around. They should end up tying in the front.

Question

sizing?

I"m originally a 7.5 but can sometimes break in a 7 if the shoe is soft material. I was wondering should i get a 7 or a 8 because the 7.5 are out of stock.

SEVEN! They ran a bit large on me, and I'd go down rather than up if they don't have your size!

i'd go with the 7! they are really soft and comfy so you would probably be able to break them in. i went with a smaller size (9.5 instead of 10) as well.

I got an 8, but I'm usually a 7.5. The 8 works really well. A little bit of a gap when I walk, but otherwise this isn't noticeable.

answer 7
I would get the 8. I got the 7 and I am a 6 but the tie on the shoe holds my foot in place, it's roomy but my foot never slips. i think an 8 would be perfect!
