Hey there, don't know if anyone answered or if you've since discovered for yourself, but this is more of a fluffy cotton blanket. a nice weight, but certainly not a heavy duty winter quilt (it's not actually a quilt, either. it's just a triangle print on the fabric.) So unless you've got your sheets plus another thin blanket or two for the bed, this is more of just a pretty bed topper! but it's soooo pretty :) :)

Nope, you will probably want another blanket with it to go under.

I do not believe so. It is perfect for Southern Arizona weather, but I think it would be too thin for any place with a real winter.

No way. It's pretty lightweight -- if you pair it with flannel sheet you might be okay, but it is definitely not a heavy winter quilt.

It's not a heavy weight blanket (since it is a blanket rather than a quilt). I find it works well for me paired with another blanket of equal or more weight.

I suppose it's a normal quilt weight. I put an extra thin blanket underneath just for extra warmth and it was perfectly fine.

No, its very delicate but I've been fine so far using it with a sheet and two extra blankets without heat in my appt. I will probably have bring a duvet out of storage when it gets really cold out.

Hey there, It's rather thin blanket. Perhaps a nice 2nd layer for winter nights, however I recommenddoubling up for sure.

I don't know for certain but I think that the colors will bleed and I would bet money the seams will snag and come out quite a bit.

answer 3
I would highly doubt it. The fabric is very thin and the result would be a) big HOLES or b) the cotton filling of this 'quilt' would most likely shift causing it to not only fail to lay flat but to be an unsightly and uncomfortable mess

I'd bet on both happening, actually

yes. put it on gentle, cold water, reduce amount of detergent, air dry. the colors didn't bleed. stretch it out a bit when drying.

I think it'd physically hold up but I would worry about the colors bleeding, especially the red again the floral pattern of the other side. I'm not going to risk the washing machine with mine.

Definitely something solid-colored. Possibly one of the colors from the quilt, only because it is a very busy quilt and adding another pattern would be too much. Something along the Alice Tea Party Pillowcase would be cool too.

I went both simple and bold. I have plain tan pillows that go great, and I also have beach print blue pillows that look just as fun. Because there are so many colors in the bedding, you can pretty pull out whatever color you decide and it will look great.

I think this definitely depends on your own personal style. At first I really favored black and white designs, much like the ones featured on UO's website, but I've paired other tribal-esque, busy designs and it's growing on me. If there are matching colors and similar styles, I say it's a go!

I ordered the black and white zig zag shams to go with this. A reviewer said that the white was more of an off white so it would go with the cream in the bed.

Any of the velvet pillows work. The yellow one you see in the picture works great, but idk if they are selling them anymore. I also got the Diego the Cat pillow and the teal Round Pintuck pillow that worked nicely too (although I chose to have them in my living room instead. This quilt can work with just about any color though. Even reds and jewled purples are great (especially the purple satin sheets). If you want to tie in a start white to the room though the bed then use a white blanket under the quilt and some white pillows on top like I did in my room. I was really worried about the ivory in the quilt, but it ended up working. Black also works really well with the pattern. Good luck!
