it is not printed, it is the weave that is in a zig zag pattern.

Zig zag is only printed on one side. Not a supremely expensive rug, but cute.

The zigzag is printed on top of the rug, not woven in. Texturally, it looks nice. Meaning, it doesn't look like its just painted on and the paint pools weirdly over the weave. My one complaint - there's a spot on mine where the print missed, so I have some extra gray in an ivory section. Annoying, yes. But for the price.. I can deal.

The bos was relatively small, since the rug is folded into a square. Maybe it was 18 x 20 inches.

The box isn't big at all. It's pretty much the standard size box I've had for any other purchases from UO. It comes all folded up.

it is not long like you would think! it is probably about a foot wide by 18 inches long. i was very surprised but it was folded up neatly inside the box

5x7 in America = five feet by seven feet. A foot is 12 inches. and inch is roughly 2.5 centimeters.

This rug is more of a light teal than light blue. It was a little too greenish for the color I wanted but still very cute if you are not trying to match an existing color closely.

I would say teal. I just got the rug today and it looks teal and the white parts are more antiqued white than white.

I bought the 5x7 and the box was very small, probably the size of a bed pillow. My 5x7 weight under 5lbs I would guess so I would think the 3x5 would be even less & a smaller box. The rug comes folded

This box isn't as large as I thought it would be. Its a little smaller than a standard size moving box. The label on the package said it weighed 9 pounds.

It feels a lot like a fabric canvas, or a thick canvas blanket. Great for over carpet!

It is about the softness of canvas. You will definitely need a thick rug pad for cushion. I would not put it in a toddler's room without setting it outside for a few days to air out the chemical smell it comes with.

The rug is thin cotton. It does not have a non-slip padding on back. I would not particularly recommend it for a toddler's room, since they are on the floor a lot. I would buy something thicker, softer, with non-slip backing.

Has anyone tried the rug over carpet? How is it?
My home came with carpet. It's clean but ugly. I'm interested in layering a thin rug for texture. Has anyone tried this with the zigzag rug? How does it lay (esp. the corners of the rug)?

I personally think this rug works BEST over carpet. It's very thin and gets pushed around on hard floor surfaces. I bought it for my carpeted family room and LOVE it! It gives the room some good dimension!

My picture might give you an idea of what it looks like...it's basically the size of a regular dining table with the leaf inserted in the middle (like mine), a bit longer than that though.
