This bag is made really well. It is made of super heavyweight fabric & the stitching is really sturdy. The straps and really comfy too. I am in Grad school & use this to tote all of my heavy books, binders, and a laptop. You'll love it!

answer 6
Definitely. I bought this and it's really sturdy canvas, and the straps are thick and can take a lot of weight. I have this backpack and so far it hasn't fallen apart or even shown any signs of use, except for a little scuff marks on the buttons.

answer 1
The buckles are real so that you can adjust it. But, the magnets are what keep it latched onto the backpack. It is very very sturdy and durable, and I would definitely recommend it for traveling! And as for pick pocketing, I think that you would be able to feel them taking something out of there, unless it was one of the 2 pockets on the front outside of the backpack

It'd say this is pick pocket proof. You'd feel someone trying to go onto your bag as long as you're not completely oblivious. It's press magnetic thing, not a buckle.

answer 4
just a magnetic press. its pretty easy to get into not really pickpocket proof but there are ties to cinch it up and i would always knot that while i was traveling so all they could do was open the flap and have a difficult time reaching in without me noticing. but it is a really good bag for travelling

You can unbuckle them, or you could just use the magnets, which is what I do. They might not be pickpocket proof, but if someone tried to pickpocket you, it'd be kinda loud so you'd know it. Hope this is helpful!

answer 8
Hey, the buckles as it turns out, are magnetic-snaps. The bag is definitely sturdy but if you're looking for the more "pick-pocket-proof" pack, I'm not sure if this is necessarily where you're aims should be. I mean, you have to give the straps a decent tug, which you can feel if it's on your back (a friend had to put something in my bag while it was on my back) but if you're bumping through a crowded street or bumping along on a train, etc. I'm not sure if you would entirely feel it. I understand where you're coming from because I have so been in the same position! There a few zippered sections but none of the main compartments are secured that way. I'd hate to tell you that the bag wouldn't be worth it because of how much I love it, but I suppose you could take a gander at it at a store and then go from there? Good Luck!

I was about to fit my binders, journals and a AP Calculus book in there, which is really thick by the way. But the only thing is that when I had all that stuff in there at once, the backpack would kill my shoulders. So usually I would just carry my books and put my binder and journal in the bag. Hope this helps!
