Looking for Answers about Ecote Double Slit Maxi Skirt?

Both! The most important thing is your waist measurement; I'm 5'7", 130 lbs., and usually wear a dress size 6 or 8, but because of my waist measurement (24-25"), I ordered a 2 and ended up exchanging it for a 0. The waistbands on both skirts were about 2" larger than the size chart says (the 2 was 28"; the 0 was 26.5"). I don't think the length varies much by size; it seems to be cut so it's long enough for girls who are 5'9" or 5'10" and everyone under that can just hem it. So it's possible that you need to order a size that's much smaller than your usual dress size; I'd just order the size that's closest to your natural waist measurement (smallest part of your waist) minus two inches.

From my experience, I would suggest ordering the size 6 first; this skirt runs big! And due to your height you may not need to have it hemmed, just altered a bit at the waist... hope this helps! :-)

This skirt has no give in the waistline so get the 8 to be on the safe side.

Go down to the 6. I am a size 12. And it was a little big in the waist. I could go down to a 10 and probably an 8. It's very long too. But since it's an unfinished hem you can always cut it.

I am 5"8" 150 lbs. Don't ask but I am typically a size four. I ordered the skirt in a four and I would say b/c it does not have the elasticity in the waist I would recommend a size six. I did struggle a bit getting into it, but i guess its how your body is structured. When they say the skirt runs a little big they are talking about length, the skirt, even for someone my height and with 5" heels, covered my entire shoe. Without the heels, the skirt drapes on the ground.

I exchanged mine for a smaller size as it was a little large in the waist. I could have kept the bigger size, but it sat lower on my waist/hips and it actually made them look bigger. If you get the right size (probably the smaller of the two), it will sit higher (where it's meant to as it is a higher waisted skirt). It will also be more flattering.

It runs pretty true to size for me and yes, this skirt is in stores.

Runs true to size, i got a 6, because its a higher rise; if wasn't so high, then a 8.

Yes and No. It was made that way so that the buyer may cut it if they so please.

It is unfinished, so you could cut it, but you would be cutting through the seam on each side of the dress. It's not a big deal to fix, but you wouldn't want to come unravelled!

I got this skirt in gray but will be ordering the black one too. I wore my gray shirt with a black studded cut out body suit from ASOS and took a plan pair of heels and spiked them out. My outfit turned out amazing. For the black I'd recommend either a nice black half top, bostier, or body suit with a bright shoe, that stands out.

I paired the black Ecote double split skirt with the sparkle foil mesh bustier top and BDG button-down surplus shirt and I think it may be along the lines of what you're looking for! Hope this helps :)

I ordered black and I had a leopard long sleeve crop top made to go with it with a 3 tier gold chain belt to go around my waist.It looks great.I havent wore it out yet but I put it together for my upcoming trip to New York.

my natural waist is about 24" but my lower waist(hip area) is about 28"-29"..i had to wear this as a high-waisted skirt as opposed to letting it rest on my hip bone..hope this helps.
