Polaroid cameras are old school, they don't charge. The battery is within the film compartment, so until you have film, no it won't even turn on. But when you do put the film in, don't leave it on or it will run out of battery and the remaining pictures in the film will be useless.

Polaroid cameras are powered by a battery pack that is included, and imbedded in each film cartridge. Polaroid film and Impossible project film both have these.
