I tried on both today because I also couldn't tell the difference. I noticed that the Twig came up a little higher and had a little more give to them. The same size in the Cigarette fit a little tighter, were shorter in the legs and didn't come as high. The Twig also feel a little less like spandex but have an amazing stretchy fit.

The twig fit like jeggings, they are much tighter around you ankles. Personally I like them a bit more than the cigarette fit!

bdg twig jeans have a higher waist, they are made of a thicker, stretchier material, and they dont fade as much and come in a shorter leg (29 in) hope this helps...

the TWIG is an updated version of the CIGARETTE. The material is nicer and thicker. It's also softer and the rise is a little higher. They do run a little smaller than the cigarette so if you've tried the cigarette get a size smaller in the twig. If you've never tried either i would suggest trying them on in the store. It seems like the TWIG is just a replacement for the cigarette...a renovation. I've worn the cigarettes for YEARS and like the twigs lots more. Sometimes in the cigarette the ankles would be baggy in certain colors...like the dark denim and the more colorful versions. I never understood why but it was annoying. These seem to not have that problem, so yay. hope this helps.

The length in the twigy jeans is perfect but the leg needs to be a lot thinner. They give so much. The cig style is to wide that the ankle but the leg seems to stay in shape longer. They need to make a thinner in the leg style so peoPle wil really thin legs and a bit if a waist can buy the perfect skinny jean! Cause at the moment you can not find one!

The Twig feels (to me, anyways) like it has a higher waist. It hit above my belly button, while the grazer waist sits on top of it.

It also offers a longer inseam, at 29" or 33".

They have a slightly higher rise and skinnier ankle, also I find that they run extremely small. I purchased this in the size 24 (my normal size for all BDG jeans, and I could barely pull them up). They also do not have the stretch (or as much I guess) that the cigarette jeans have. Hope that helped!

The seamed high-rise jeans have two V-shaped seams near your hips, and the Twig jeans do not have those seams. Neither is "better", it's just a preference of which look you like more. I hope I helped!

They are both pretty similar but the seamed jean has an extra 1/2" in the rise. I own both but I love mine as high as possible so I normally wear the seamed. In my opinion they look a little more western than without the seam, which I like.

Twig is different material than jeans... I believe it's not as stretchy and from personal experience, Urbans "twig" jeans tend to slide a lot, they don't stay put like the jeans do.

The Twig High Rise Jean is better. the High rise seam jean isn't nearly as flattering, but I would recommend them if you want a super high rise jean.

If you look closely the BDG high-rise seamed jean has a seam around the waist, it kind if looks like a V? The Twin high rise jean does not have that seam. Which is better depends on your own style ;)
