Questions & Answers for Smith's Rosebud Salve

Question

Does anyone else have trouble opening this?

I feel like the tin is so airtight that it takes alot of effort opening it. I don't know...it could be because it's so hot out..

I think some of the containers have a varying tightness to them, because while mine opens just fine, I also ordered the strawberry flovored one and that one is a lot harder for me to open. I'm just kinda hoping it loosens up with time

I've had approx 6 Rosebud balms and while some are looser than others, none have ever required a sufficient amount of effort to open (and I live in the tropics, where it's super hot/humid). Maybe you got a shifty tin....

Just the first couple of times, not every time. Usually very easy to open.

Maybe it'll help if you close the lid evenly at the same time.

this exact thing happened to me when I left it in my car in the middle of summer for a few days. It was all of a sudden impossible to open. I mean impossible, my boyfriend couldn't even get it with gripping. But this only happens when the lip balm melts and if it is not positioned upright when it melts. When I finally got it open and looked inside, the lip balm had completely conformed to the inside of the tin and sealed it shut. So just make sure it's not sitting in heat upside down

Don't struggle to open it when it is hot. It's probably because the product is melted to the side of the tint.

Melt the product by putting it near a hot surface.
I put mine on my laptop or near the heat area of my laptop because it's so hot.

After awhile, you might be able to open it without a lot of effort. And you'll notice if the product melt all to the bottom and off the lid. If it did, pop it into the fridge and let it stay put.
